Time Blocks"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Time Blocks<\/h2>\n<p>Reserving Time Blocks on the Dispatch Calendar is a new concept in Version 13.0.<\/p>\n<p>This is a Setting that must be activated, but when activated, the software will provide a way to reserve or hold an appointment time on the calendar, without having to enter the details.<\/p>\n<p>This was designed for those peak call volume situations where there is not enough time to complete the service call in the software.\u00a0 Now, you can reserve a block of time on the calendar and then come back to it later to provide the details.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Hold&#8221; or &#8220;Reserve&#8221; will last for a set period of time after which it will be automatically removed, if it has not been converted into a normal service call by that time.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Activate<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>From the Command Center,\u00a0<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">click on Settings (left menu)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Dispatching Setting section<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">General Settings<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Go to the\u00a0<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Time Block Settings section (bottom of the page)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Change value of &#8220;<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Enable Time Block<\/span>&#8221; to &#8220;<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Yes<\/span>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Provide a &#8220;T<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">ime Block Color<\/span>&#8221; &#8211; this is the color of the block when displayed on the Dispatch Calendar<\/li>\n<li>Enter the &#8220;<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Time Block Duration<\/span>&#8221; &#8211; this is how long the Time Block will remain on the Dispatch Calendar before being removed if it is not converted to a Service Call<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Save<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><strong>How to Block Time on the Calendar<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the Dispatch Calendar<\/li>\n<li>Click on the time where you want the Time Block to start<\/li>\n<li>From the Popup, select the Option for &#8220;Block Time&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Duration &#8211; this is the amount of time to block on the calendar &#8211; block the morning, one hour, etc &#8211; you will see the block updating on the calendar as this is changed<\/li>\n<li>Click Continue<\/li>\n<li>Review Warning, click Ok<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><strong>How to Convert Time Block to Appointment<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>From the Dispatch Calendar, click on the Time Block<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;Create Call&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Follow the normal process to create a service call or generic call<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><strong>How to Remove Time Block on Calendar<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\">Automatically<\/span>\u00a0&#8211;
