Raised in Southern California, Genalyn Turingan joined the CVMG family as a Physician Assistant dedicated to providing a more patient-specific approach centered on promoting health and preventing disease.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.
She spent the beginning of her career dedicating her time to underserved communities of East Los Angeles and has been working in family practice for 21 years. Her goal to patient care is to focus on working in collaboration with her patients as a team, built on trust, in order to help advocate an improvement in their overall health and well-being, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
In her role as a Physician Assistant, Ms. Turingan has performed patient care services from newborns to geriatrics, including child exams, immunizations, sports physicals and wellness exams.
She also is skilled in analyzing and reviewing laboratory and diagnostic reports. Ms. Turingan incorporates health promotion and disease prevention with patient education pertaining to management and treatment of specific conditions.
Ms. Turingan speaks English and Spanish.
